Accessibility Statement

Simple Spark is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which is the standard recognized worldwide as a baseline for accessible web content.

Measures we take

Accessibility is part of how we build, not an afterthought. Our process includes:

  • Automated testing on every build. Each deployment runs axe-core against every page; the build fails on any WCAG 2.1 AA violation.
  • Semantic markup. We use landmarks (main, nav, footer), headings in logical order, and accessible names on every interactive element.
  • Keyboard navigation. Every link, button, form, and menu can be reached and operated using only a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Color contrast. Text and meaningful UI elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios.
  • Alt text on images. Informative images have descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked as such so screen readers skip them.
  • Skip-to-content link. A skip link at the top of every page lets keyboard and screen-reader users jump past the navigation.
  • Respects user preferences. The site honors prefers-reduced-motion and the accessibility-widget user preferences for font size, spacing, and color.

Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard — we’re actively working on those gaps and will update this statement as they’re resolved.

Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, you may encounter limitations. The ones we’re currently aware of:

  • Some legacy embedded third-party content (older video embeds, vendor widgets) may not meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We're replacing or improving these on a rolling basis.
  • Image gallery captions on legacy project case studies may lack full descriptive alt text. We're back-filling these.
